Summer Services

About the project

Pingst Stockholm conducts a series of summer services each year that are streamed live to thousands of viewers. As technical producer, I was responsible for the entire technical production of the livestream.

My role

• Technical producer with overall responsibility for the broadcast
• Vision mixer responsible for camera selection and video mixing
• Streaming manager for the technical infrastructure

The production

The livestream was produced at broadcast quality and included:

• Multi-camera setup with 4 cameras
• Professional audio mix for streaming
• Graphics and lower thirds
• Live broadcasting to YouTube and Facebook

Technical setup

• Blackmagic ATEM switchers for video mixing
• PTZ cameras for flexibility
• Dedicated streaming encoder
• Redundant internet connection

Results

The broadcasts reached an average of 2000+ viewers per service and received positive feedback for production quality. The system was designed to be operated by volunteers after initial training.
